Surey Results

Hi, I'm will and this is my survey on shark Finning. The reason I choose this topic is because I couldn't believe what they did! I think that this is rong because they are so greedy for money that they will do anything to get it. I thought that yall would like to hear about it to. By the way who many people even eat shark fin soup?

For my survey I had unexpected results, like only one person has tried shark fin soup. Most people thought that finning is rong or didn't care, which I expected.Over all the results were veireid, from scatered to expected andbasic. Some results were all the same. I don't think any body dosen't care about the envierment.

I think that if the coast guard would bust these boats that we could stop the proses.but as for us we can help to. do you think you know how. if so comment on my blog.

Eelgrass
(Vallisneria Americana)

What is eelgrass? Eelgrass a sea pioneer species. Eelgrass is unique because it one of the few species that spreads seeds in the sea salt water. It grows in at the edge of the low tide in more protected areas like salt ponds, tidal flats, coves and estuaries. Eelgrass is critical for shrimp, crabs, minnow, clams, eels, scallops and mussels. The Eelgrass filters out pollutants and is key for the nutrient cycle.

The eelgrass is a long slender blade of grass that absorbs sunlight for energy. The blades are ½ - ¾ wide and can grow up to 3 to 4 feet tall. The blades also provide oxygen for other sea creatures. Eelgrass is used to help guard against sea erosion and it does not like living in very swift moving water.

Studies show that 90% of the Eelgrass has been destroyed on the Atlantic coast over the last 70 years. Scientist believe the lost has been due to dredging, boat propellers and lack of sun light due to masses amount of algae. Many schools along the east coast have worked on restoration projects to help restore the Eelgrass for more habitat for marine life.
